w/k explores the panorama of influences and interconnections between science and art. More specifically, the aim of this peer-reviewed open-access online journal is to highlight, in individual studies, the individual science-art connections of artists as precisely and comprehensively as possible and to develop the underlying artistic concepts to enable a deeper understanding of these art forms. w/k offers a new source of inspiration for all those interested in the connections between science and the visual arts – be they artists, art historians, art theorists, art-interested scientists, curators or art-and-science enthusiasts. The Journal of Science & Popular Culture is a peer-reviewed academic publication that seeks to explore the complex and evolving connections between science and global society.
