Sarah Barnes, a Masters student at CPAS, created a poster series for their creative SCOM6004 Science Communication Internship. Their project was an artistic, visual interpretation of the interdisciplinary ‘Classics meets SciComm’ conference “Enacting Innovation” which was organised by Dr Tatiana Bur and Dr Anna-Sophie Jürgens in October 2023. Academics from Classical Studies, Science Communication and Pop Culture Studies came together explore how objects were and are technologically animated in theatrical contexts, both as ideas in text and as realities in production, from Classical antiquity to the present day. This project was supported by a CPAS Critical Events Grant.
